I Am Strong and Courageous

Joshua 1:9

New International Version (NIV)

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

This is my family’s memory verse this month. Even my two year old has it down! It is important that my family has this verse in their hearts and minds all of their life. I feel like this will get us through many situations in life. A perfect reminder from The Lord God Almighty, Himself!

So as I wait for tomorrow to come, my MRI, the first one since January, The first one since I’ve completed treatment, I’m starting to get anxious and I find myself repeating this verse in my head. Have I not commanded you… and I realize something about that question…Have I not commanded you? God is saying to me ” I have commanded you”. He is not saying, “IF YOU FEEL like being strong and courageous”. He didn’t say “TRY not to be afraid.. I MIGHT go with you wherever you go”. He is saying “Have I not COMMANDED you?” That is an order from God himself and I choose to obey him!

I am strong and courageous! I am not afraid and I wont be discouraged, for I know The Lord MY God goes with me wherever I go!

So while I wait for my MRI and the results I will remember this and I will be thankful that God loves me so much that he made me this promise and I know that he always keeps his promises!

I’ll take a picture of my MRI again and share it with you all! Thank you for loving me and supporting me through this! I can’t believe it’s almost been a year already! I love you all! I thank God for you every day!
